About Palomino Island

Palomino is a privately owned island of about 100 acres just off Fajardo. Much of it is used by El Conquistador Resort, so the beach chairs, huts and bar service on shore are for resort guests. Your group can still enjoy the soft white sand and the clear, turquoise water, which is great for swimming and snorkeling, with one of the best views on Puerto Rico's east coast. Just south of Palomino sits Palominito, a tiny islet that erosion has nearly washed away. Sea turtles are sometimes seen in the area, so please give them plenty of space.
Palomino or Icacos?
Choose Palomino for the views and a livelier scene. Choose Icacos for an untouched nature reserve with shallow, calm water. Our Icacos vs. Palomino guide compares the two.
